Mirel Bran is the Le Monde correspondent in Bucharest since 1998. He graduated from the Higher School of Journalism in Lille (France) and earned a doctorate in information science at the University Paris II. He collaborates regularly in the weekly Le Point and the Suisse Romande and France Inter radio. Co-author of New xenophobia in Europe (Kluwer Law International, London, 1995) and Retours de Roumanie (Ministry of Culture, Luxembourg, 2004), he is also the producer of several documentaries movies and deputy director of the French-Romanian production house BlocFilm.
